PSB Spring training, Saturday September 3rd

Hi All

It was good to see you all back into it today.

The next session is Saturday September 3rd. The next session will be primarily a batting focused coaching session.

If there was one thing I'd like to highlight for you all from today's session it is that there are boys in the Green squad looking good, and who I believe will be pushing for Black A and Burgundy A places over the course of the season. It will be your own hard work over the next three or four months that determines where you all end up. We encourage you to get one on one coaching and work on your game whenever you can.

The training squads have been altered as below to include new boys and make adjustments for the 3.30pm wicket keeping session.

PSB Wicket-keeping training sessions

Cameron Fletcher, the NZ U19 wicket-keeper, will take the following sessions:

Saturday August 27th: 3.30pm to 4.30pm, Massey Albany Recreation Centre cricket nets
Saturday September 3rd: 3.30pm to 4.30pm, Massey Albany Recreation Centre cricket nets (to be confirmed, if not Cameron, then another wicket-keeper)
Saturday September 10th: 3.30pm to 4.30pm, Massey Albany Recreation Centre cricket nets
Saturday September 17th: 3.30pm to 4.30pm, Massey Albany Recreation Centre cricket nets
Saturday September 24th: 3.30pm to 4.30pm, Massey Albany Recreation Centre cricket nets

PSB Spring training sessions

The PSB Spring training sessions start next Saturday August 27th. The full timetable is as follows:

Saturday August 27th: 1.30pm to 4.30pm, Massey Albany Recreation Centre cricket nets
Saturday September 3rd: 1.30pm to 4.30pm, Massey Albany Recreation Centre cricket nets
Saturday September 10th: 1.30pm to 4.30pm, Massey Albany Recreation Centre cricket nets
Saturday September 17th: 1.30pm to 4.30pm, Massey Albany Recreation Centre cricket nets
Saturday September 24th: 1.30pm to 4.30pm, Massey Albany Recreation Centre cricket nets

The first session will be a general net session to get everyone back into things. Your squad trains at the following time.

Black: 1.30pm to 2.30pm
Burgundy: 2.30pm to 3.30pm
Green: 3.30pm to 4.30pm
Wicket-keeping session: 3.30pm to 4.30pm

Please be there at least 15 minutes prior to your session starting and bring you full gear bag.

The sessions will include coaching from Andrew Niblett and squad Coaches.

Cost: The total costs for net hire: five weeks, three lanes for three hours per day, 12 new practice balls, and the professional Coach for the five weeks are $2,314. Given that there are 48 boys the per cost boy is $50. Can you please provide that to your squad Coach at the beginning of the first session.
